About Marlene
I'm a Miami Beach native with over 26 years of experience as a school guidance counselor in both Miami and New York City.
I hold a Master's Degree in Allied Health from the University of Florida, a Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from St. Thomas University, and a Post-Master's Certificate in Bilingual Counseling from Touro College in New York City.
Throughout my career, I've been passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults in their personal, social, and emotional development. My experience includes working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and students facing a wide range of academic, behavioral, social, and emotional challenges.
I believe in looking at the whole person — recognizing their individual strengths, understanding their emotions, and identifying challenges that may affect their overall well-being. My approach is to provide a compassionate and supportive environment where individuals can gain confidence, develop coping skills, and learn to navigate life's challenges in ways that work best for them.
I'm excited to begin this new chapter as a Balanced Coach and look forward to bringing my experience and passion for helping others into this role.
Marlene provides coaching through The Balanced Coach — not psychotherapy or clinical mental-health treatment.
